5 NEW ITALIAN RESTAURANTS : BOOK NOW!
Fellows
While the new veggie spot from the dream team of Julia Chican, Marine Ricklin, and our favourite chef Mehdi Favri(Fellows, Maslow) doesn’t claim to be Italian, it still serves some of the best pasta in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, making it a worthy addition to this roundup. Tucked beneath the arcades of the Marché Saint-Germain, Fellows marks the group’s second location following the huge success of its first restaurant in Paris’s 10th arrondissement.
The vibe? A striking interior featuring green marble, stainless steel and leather, an XXL terrace perfect for sunny days, great energy (spoiler: the hip-hop playlist blasting in the bathrooms is part of the experience), and seriously indulgent vegetarian dishes—all at wallet-friendly prices. Another flawless addition from the team. A great option after the theatre or the cinema, too, with last orders taken until 10:30 pm.
On the menu
Before diving into a glorious pasta feast, start with a few irresistible small plates, such as the pizzetta topped with olive cream and shaved raw asparagus (€8), or the playful focaccia served with whipped butter and cured egg yolk bottarga (€7).
Then come the now-iconic pasta dishes: the Aglio e Olio, featuring tagliatelle with garlic cream, gremolata, toasted breadcrumbs and parsley (€10); the tongue-in-cheek Carbonasse (#lol), made with mushroom “lardons” and spring onions (€13); or the Pappardelle with mushroom nduja, harissa and spring onions (€13).
Looking for something a little more unexpected? The Mafé pasta, coated in a rich peanut and tomato sauce with pickled green chilli and fresh coriander (€12), boldly reimagines the classic West African flavours.
To finish on a sweet note, choose between the Basque cheesecake, delicately infused with sweet clover for a fresh herbal twist (€9), or the strawberry and green shiso panna cotta (€8).
